Synchronizing With Your Business Software
Importing and Exporting Customer Information
TRAXsales has the ability to import and export information to and from your business software. We recommend importing from your Point of Sale as the preferred method in keeping with the purpose of your business software. Trax will take this information and calculate the performance of each location along with tracking the customers that did not buy allowing you to measure improvement.
What is required from my business software?
Your business software will need to produce a text file in comma delimited format. This file will contain the information that will be requested by Trax for import in a specified sequence. See TRAXsales import configuration for the recommended information sequence. This file must be named Import.txt.
Example:

Trax provides a directory for this file to reside in. This directory will already contain a file named Target.txt. This file is used in the configuration process. The directory is located in the C drive. The directory is named TRAXimport_export. Your business software must place the import.txt file in this directory as shown below. When the file has been imported it will be automatically deleted.

TRAXsales Import Configuration

This points the import function to this location. Select Save. Trax is now configured to import information from your business software.
